The most beautiful cross-country trails


Cross-country skiing enthusiasts who like to practise their favourite sport away from the crowds are in the right place in the Tyrolean Wipptal and its mountain valleys.There is a free range of cross-country trails in the mountain valleys - skating and/or classic tracks.

Our favourite place for cross-country skiing is the mountain village Gschnitz - probably one of the most beautiful places for cross-country skiing in Tyrol.

In the Wipptal and its mountain valleys there are approx. 85 km of cross-country ski trails in all degrees of difficulty.

The Gschnitz skating trail is 7 km long and runs at a medium level of difficulty. The trail is suitable for beginners as well as for experienced cross-country skiers.

This cross-country ski trail with starting point Maria Waldrast offers a breathtaking panoramic view at the foot of the Serles. The two variants "Matreier-Ochsenalm" and the longer high-altitude trail "Wipptal-Stubai" make every cross-country skier's heart beat faster.
